The Caribbean's Most Sophisticated Island — Rum, Reefs & Rihanna's Homeland
About This Guide
Barbados punches above its weight as 'Little England' with proper infrastructure, world-class beaches, rum distilleries (Mount Gay has been producing since 1703 — the world's oldest rum brand), and a friendly, proud local culture. The Platinum Coast's calm waters sit in sharp contrast to the wild Atlantic East Coast surf. The Crop Over festival is one of the Caribbean's greatest carnivals.

Every location is covered with practical tips, maps, and curated recommendations.

Wild Atlantic surf coast with Bathsheba's dramatic mushroom rocks, rolling waves (surfers' paradise), and the traditional rural heart of Bajan culture.
