Port Wine, Azulejo Tiles & Portugal's Most Soulful City
About This Guide
Porto is Portugal's second city and many visitors' favourite — a UNESCO World Heritage riverside city of extraordinary beauty. The azulejo tile facades, the iron Dom Luís bridge, the port wine lodges of Vila Nova de Gaia across the river, and the incredible São Bento station with its 20,000-tile mural make Porto one of Europe's most rewarding cities.
