Windsor Castle (40 min), Stonehenge (2 hrs), Oxford (1 hr), Cambridge (1 hr), Bath (1.5 hrs) all easily reached by train.
Borough Market for artisan produce, Dishoom for Indian, Bao for Taiwanese, Padella for pasta. Traditional pubs serve excellent food too.
London is expensive. Stay in Zone 2 hotels to save money. Eat at markets. Pre-book attractions online for discounts.
