Beer Gardens, Baroque Palaces & Bavaria's Capital
About This Guide
Munich is Germany's most liveable city and Bavaria's elegant capital — a city of great museums, baroque palaces, world-class art, enormous English Garden parks, and a beer culture that is genuinely central to Bavarian identity. Oktoberfest (late September–early October) is the world's largest beer festival, but Munich rewards visitors year-round.
